Eligibility Criteria Bihar Ration Dealer Vacancy 2026

  • Candidates must have a minimum educational qualification of Matriculation (10th Pass). In some districts, preference may be given to candidates with an Intermediate (12th Pass) qualification.
  • It is mandatory for candidates to be permanent residents of the State of Bihar; furthermore, applications may only be submitted by permanent residents of the specific Panchayat or Ward within the district where the vacancy exists.
  • Regarding caste/category: Government reservation policies apply to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EBC, Women, and Persons with Disabilities. Priority will be accorded to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) or Cooperative Societies (provided that more than 50% of their members belong to reserved categories).
  • Candidates must not have any criminal record. Additionally, they must not have been previously convicted of any violation related to the Public Distribution System (PDS). Candidates must also possess a suitable premises for establishing the shop (proof of ownership/availability of a house or building is required).
