The 22nd edition of the CTET examination is scheduled to be held on September 6, 2026 (Sunday), across 132 cities nationwide. All eligible candidates may apply online for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 between May 11, 2026, and June 10, 2026, via the official CTET website, ctet.nic.in. Note:- The full form of CTET is the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a national-level examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). This examination is intended for candidates who aspire to become teachers at the primary level (Grades 1 to 5) and the upper primary level—also referred to as the middle level—(Grades 6 to 8). Passing the CTET is a mandatory requirement for securing a teaching position in schools.
Two Levels (Papers) of the CTET Examination
The CTET examination is primarily divided into two parts. Candidates may opt to appear for either one or both papers, depending on their eligibility.
Paper I – This examination is for candidates aspiring to become teachers for Grades 1 to 5 (Primary Level).
Paper II – This examination is for candidates aspiring to become teachers for Grades 6 to 8 (Upper Primary/Junior Level).

CTET September Form 2026 Exam Pattern
Note:- All questions in the CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), comprising four options, out of which one will be the most appropriate answer. Each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking.

Paper I – is intended for those who wish to become teachers for Classes I to V.
Paper II – is intended for those who wish to become teachers for Classes VI to VIII.
- Candidates who wish to become teachers for both levels (Classes I to V and Classes VI to VIII) must appear for both papers (Paper I and Paper II).

If you wish to apply for the CTET September 2026 examination, you must possess all these documents. Only then will your application be processed correctly.

How To Apply CTET September Form 2026
If you wish to apply for the CTET September 2026 examination, you must be familiar with the application procedure; otherwise, your application may be rejected. Therefore, by following the steps outlined below, you can easily complete your application for CTET September 2026.
To apply, first go to the official website’s homepage (https://ctet.nic.in/), a screenshot of which is provided below.
Upon reaching the homepage, you’ll find “Apply for CTET Sep 2026” written on the top, which I’ve circled in red.
- After clicking “Apply for CTET Sep 2026,” you’ll be taken to the CTET dashboard.
- Where you’ll see three columns: 1. Download Information Bulletin, 2. New Registration, 3. Login.
- If you’re a new applicant, click on the “New Registration” option. I’ll also provide a screenshot of this page below. So that you people do not have any confusion.
- After clicking on “New Registration,” a notification and some terms and conditions will open in front of you.
- Read this carefully to avoid any mistakes in the form. After reading it completely, tick the check box below.
- Ticking the check box means that I have read and understood all the conditions mentioned by the department.
- By the way, I will post a screenshot of all the terms and conditions below so that you can read and understand them in advance and there are no mistakes in your form.
- After this, click on “Click Here to Proceed.”
The registration form will open in front of you.
- After entering your personal details, contact details, communication address, and permanent address, you will be asked to create your login password. The password should be made as strong as you like.
- After creating the password, you have to select a security question such as favorite food, birth place, favorite book, etc. Which is kept secret, its work is done when you forget your password, then your password is found out through this.
- After this, at last, enter the captcha and click on submit.
- After submitting, the registration number is sent to both your mobile number and email id.
- Login with this registration number and your created password and after logging in, your personal dashboard will open.
- After opening the personal dashboard, first of all, verify your mobile number and email id. This verification is done through OTP.
- After verifying the mobile and email, you will start your final form.
- Here you will be asked for qualification details, selection of the paper you are applying for and other details.
- Finally, submit and make the payment. And print the final receipt and keep it safe.
- Note:- Candidates are advised to check all the details entered in the application carefully before submitting the application and making the payment.
