BPSC Physical Test
Note:- In the BPSC 72nd Examination 2026, a physical test is primarily mandatory for positions within the Bihar Police Service. These include posts such as DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police), District Commandant, and District Fire Officer.
- However, for general administrative positions (such as SDM and BDO), there is no specific physical test (such as running or high jump). Candidates are required to undergo a basic medical examination.

BPSC Interview Process
- Candidates who pass the Main Examination (a descriptive paper worth 900 marks) are called for an interview. Typically, approximately 2.5 times the number of vacancies are invited for this stage.
- Mandatory Attendance – Participation is mandatory for all candidates to be included in the final merit list.
- Post Preference – During the interview, you must clearly state your final preferences for the various services or posts.
- Final Merit List – This is calculated by adding your scores from the Main Examination (900 marks) and the Interview (120 marks), totaling 1020 marks.
How to Apply BPSC 72nd Vacancy 2026
If you wish to apply for the BPSC 72nd Vacancy 2026, you must follow the complete application process; therefore, carefully read, understand, and follow the steps below before submitting your application.
- To fill the BPSC 72nd Vacancy 2026, students must first visit the official website (https://bpsc.bihar.gov.in/).
- After this, scroll down a bit and you will see an Online Application box, which I have indicated in the screenshot below.
- After clicking on Online Application, the login page will open in front of you.
- If you are a new user and are filling out the BPSC form for the first time, you will need to complete OTR (One Time Registration).
- Simply put, OTR means that I have submitted all my data, including qualification details, personal details, physical details, address, etc., to the BPSC. The BPSC will then inform you of the applications for which I am eligible. The BPSC will no longer ask for this information while filling out any forms.
- The OTR system makes it easier for students. Approximately 60% to 70% of your work will be done for each form. The remaining details, such as post selection, live photo, document upload, and exam city, will be filled in by you.
- Students are advised to fill in all the details correctly in the OTR to avoid any errors in the form. If there are any errors in the OTR or if you need to add any details, please correct the OTR first and then proceed with filling the form.
- During OTR, your Aadhaar verification is performed through DigiLocker. Students are advised to add their mobile number to their Aadhaar card so that Aadhaar verification can be performed.
- After completing the first step of OTR, you will receive a user ID and password on both your mobile number and email address.
- You must log in with this user ID and password. After this, you must complete the next step of your OTR, where you will fill in your qualification details, communication details, physical details, etc., and then recheck them once and submit.
- Once the OTR is complete, return to the dashboard. Here, all the BPSC forms you are eligible for will be displayed.
- Click on the form you wish to fill in. Fill in the requested details and upload a live photo (white background). Upload any required documents and submit the final form.
- After final submission, go to the payment section and make the payment and take the final printout and keep it safe with you.
