Bihar Polytechnic Entrance Test 2026 : Category Wise Eligibility Criteria

Polytechnic Engineer (PE)
Candidates must have passed the 10th (High School) examination from a recognized board, or be appearing for it.
Para Medical (PMM)
In this case as well, candidates must have passed the 10th-grade (High School) examination from a recognized board, or be appearing for it.
Para Medical (PM)
Candidates must have passed the 12th (Intermediate) examination with Physics, Chemistry, English, and Mathematics or Biology as subjects. For the GNM course, candidates must have passed the 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as subjects, securing a minimum of 40% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
Para Medical (Intermediate Level)
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination from a recognized board with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English), or they must be appearing for this examination. For the GNM course (for women only), a minimum of 40% marks is required in PCB and English. Additionally, a relaxation of 5% will be granted to SC/ST candidates, and candidates with ANM or Vocational Nursing qualifications are also eligible to apply. For the ANM course (for women only), candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 40% marks, including English as a subject. For Dental and other related courses, having Science subjects (PCB) and English at the Intermediate level is mandatory. Candidates appearing for the examination in the year 2026 are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply DCECE Bihar Polytechnic PE Counselling 2026

If you wish to apply for the DCECE Bihar Polytechnic PE Counselling 2026, you can easily submit your application by following the steps outlined below.

First, please note that after the results are declared, the BCECEB opens an online portal for counseling. Students can log in directly using their DCECE Registration Number and Password.
After logging in, students must select their preferred Polytechnic colleges and branches (such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, CSE, Electronics, etc.) and arrange them in order of preference.
Once the choices have been entered, they must be finalized by ‘locking’ them. Changes cannot be made after locking, so candidates should carefully review their choices before doing so; they cannot be altered later.
BCECEB then issues a Provisional Seat Allotment based on the student’s rank, category, selected preferences, and seat availability.
Candidates should note that, based on the allotted seat, they have the option to accept the seat, wait for an upgrade in the next round, or decline/release the seat (Reject/Float).
After accepting the seat, the student must visit the designated reporting/nodal center or the respective institute to have all original documents verified.
Upon successful document verification, the admission fee must be paid to confirm the admission.
If candidates fail to pay the fee within the stipulated time, their seat allotment may be cancelled; candidates should keep this in mind.
