BPSSC Bihar Police SI Vacancy 2025 : Syllabus and Exam Pattern

• The written examination will be conducted in two stages: Preliminary and Main Examination. All papers in the written examination will be based on a multiple-choice format.
• First Stage: Preliminary Examination – The preliminary examination will consist of one paper of 200 marks with a total of 100 questions, and the duration of the examination will be 2 (two) hours. The questions in this paper will be related to General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Candidates who score less than 30 percent marks will not be eligible for the main examination.
• Second Stage: Main Examination – Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be given the opportunity to appear for the main examination. The main examination will consist of two papers.
• The first paper will be on General Hindi, carrying 200 marks, with a duration of 2 (two) hours and 100 questions. A minimum of 30 percent marks is mandatory to pass; otherwise, the candidate will be disqualified. The marks obtained in the General Hindi paper will not be added to the merit list.
• The second paper will cover General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics, and Aptitude Test. The second paper will carry a total of 200 marks with 100 questions, and the duration of the examination will be 2 (two) hours.
• In both stages of the examination, 0.2 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The answer sheet will be in two copies. One copy will be retained by the commission.
