BPSSC ASI Operation Vacancy 2026 : Syllabus And Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination:
The preliminary examination will consist of one question paper of one hundred (100) marks, containing a total of one hundred (100) objective multiple-choice questions. The duration of the examination will be 2 (two) hours. The question paper will include forty (40) questions related to General Knowledge and Current Affairs and sixty (60) questions related to Physics. The level of the questions will be of graduate science level. Candidates scoring less than thirty percent (30%) will be declared unsuccessful for the main examination.

Main Examination:
Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination will be given the opportunity to appear in the main examination. The main examination will consist of two papers.

The first paper will be of one hundred (100) marks on General Language Knowledge, comprising fifty (50) marks for General Hindi and fifty (50) marks for General English. The level of the questions will be of Intermediate level and will be of objective multiple-choice type. A ​​minimum of thirty (30) marks is mandatory to qualify; otherwise, candidates will be disqualified. The duration of the General Language Knowledge paper will be one and a half hours. The marks obtained in the General Language Knowledge paper will not be added to the merit list.
The second question paper will be on Graduate level Physics. It will consist of objective multiple-choice questions with a total of one hundred (100) marks, one hundred (100) questions, and a duration of three hours. (iv) For every incorrect answer in both stages of the examination, zero point two (0.2) marks will be deducted. The answer sheet will be in two copies, one copy of which will be kept safe with the commission. A minimum of thirty-three percent (33%) marks is mandatory in the second paper of the main examination. Candidates scoring less than this will be unsuccessful.
