BHU School Entrance Test SET 2026 : Eligibility Criteria

• For Class IX : Age should be 13 to 15 years as on March 31, 2026, i.e., date of birth should not be earlier than March 31, 2011, nor later than March 31, 2013, and should have passed the Class 8th examination from a recognized school. (Children born after April 1, 2013, will also be considered.)
• For Class XI : Maximum age should be 18 years as on March 31, 2026, i.e., date of birth should not be earlier than March 31, 2008, and should have passed the Class 10th examination from a recognized board/university.
• For external candidates (those appearing through SET):
  The eligibility criteria for admission to Class XI is to have at least passing marks (33%) in Class X.
• And for Class XI, seat allotment in different streams will be based on the aggregate percentage of marks in the Class X board results for internal candidates and the SET index for external candidates. All students, including BHU employee wards, must score at least 33% marks in the school entrance test. For SC/ST/Divyang (OH only), the eligibility criteria is 25% marks in SET 2026.
