All eligible Indian citizens can submit their online application forms for NEET UG 2026 on the official NTA NEET UG portal, neet.nta.nic.in, from February 8, 2026, to March 8, 2026. NTA NEET UG Registration Form 2026 : Eligibility Criteria & Exam Codes
To be eligible for the NTA NEET UG Registration Form 2026, candidates must refer to the table below for the qualifying examination criteria.
CodeQulificaton
ICandidates who have appeared or are appearing in the qualifying examination (i.e., Class 12) with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their main subjects and expect to pass the examination with the required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply.
IIThe Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to the Class 12 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after 12 years of schooling, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (with practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject, and English in the last two years of schooling, the level of which should not be lower than the core course in English prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure based on the recommendations of the National Committee on Education.
IIIIntermediate/pre-degree examination in Science from an Indian university/board or other recognized examining body, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (including practical tests in these subjects) and English as compulsory subjects.
IVAfter passing the higher secondary examination, pre-university examination, or an equivalent examination, candidates must take a pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. The pre-professional/pre-medical examination will include practical tests in these subjects, with English as a compulsory subject.
VThe first year of a three-year degree course, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology, along with practical tests in these subjects, provided that the examination is a university examination and the candidate has passed the previous qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, at a level not lower than that of the core courses.
VIThe candidate must have passed the B.Sc. examination from an Indian university, provided that they have passed at least two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology in the B.Sc. examination, and have also passed the previous qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
VIIAny other examination whose scope and standard are found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science examination of an Indian University/Board (covering the last two years of 10+2 studies, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology, along with practical tests in these subjects), and which also includes English.
