CBSE Board Class 10th 12th Exam Date Revised For 2025-26: Eligibility Criteria 

•  Minimum Attendance Requirement:
  To be eligible for the board exams, students must have a minimum of 75% attendance in their respective classes.

In cases of valid reasons such as medical emergencies or participation in national/international events, schools may grant exemptions upon submission of valid documents.

• Passing Marks:
  A minimum of 33% marks is required in each subject to pass.

For subjects with practical components, students must secure 33% marks separately in both theory and practical exams.

• Internal Assessment:
  Students must obtain a grade higher than ‘E’ in all internal assessments.

Failure to do so may result in the withholding of external examination results. (CBSE)

• Compartment Exams:
  Students failing in one or two subjects can appear for the compartment exams to be held in May or June 2026.
• Subject Selection:
  Students must finalize their subject choices at the time of submitting the List of Candidates (LOC).

Changes to subjects are generally not permitted after the submission of the LOC.
