Bihar Board Inter Admission 2026 : Selection Process

In OFSS 11th Admission 2026, the selection of students is based entirely on merit (Class 10 marks) and college preferences. This process is conducted in a transparent manner by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) through the OFSS portal.

• The merit list is a selection roster containing the names of students who have been allotted seats based on their marks and their chosen colleges.

For Bihar Board Intermediate admissions, merit lists are typically released in three phases:

• 1st Merit List
• 2nd Merit List
• 3rd Merit List

Process:-

• 10th Grade (Matriculation) Marks.
• College/School Choices Selected by the Student.
• Number of Seats Available in the Respective College.

Note:- Based on these three factors, the system automatically allocates a seat.

Now that your name appears on the merit list, what should you do?

If your name appears in the merit list, you must follow the steps below:

• Download the Intimation Letter from the OFSS portal.
• Visit the selected college/school within the stipulated date.
• Complete the admission process with all the necessary documents.

Slide-Up Process
The Slide-Up Process is a significant feature within the Bihar Board Intermediate admission system, enabling students to secure a better option than their currently allotted college. This process is made available by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) via the OFSS portal.

Slide-Up is an option designed for students who are dissatisfied with the college allotted to them based on the merit list; if they had listed superior colleges as higher priorities in their application form, this feature provides them with an opportunity to be upgraded to a higher-priority college in the subsequent admission round.

• If you are not satisfied with the college you have been allotted, you may opt for the Slide-Up feature.
• This provides an opportunity to secure a better college in the next merit list.
