JEE Mains NTA Registration 2026 Session 1 Apply Online

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is inviting online registration applications for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) 2026, scheduled to be held on January 1. This exam offers admission to B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./ or B.Planning courses. Eligible Indian citizens can register for JEE Main 2026 online from October 31, 2025, to November 27, 2025, on the NTA’s official JEE Main website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Mains 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria:

There is no age limit for candidates to appear in JEE (Main) – Term – 2026. Candidates who have passed Class 12/equivalent examination in Term – 2024, 2025 or are appearing in 2026 can appear in JEE (Main) – 2026, regardless of their age.

List of JEE Mains Qualifying Exams (QE):

  • Final examination of the 10+2 system conducted by any recognized Central/State Board.
  • Intermediate or two-year pre-university examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
  •  Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
  •  Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the NIOS with a minimum of five subjects.
  • Any public school/board/university examination in India or any foreign country recognized by the AIU as equivalent to the 10+2 system.
  • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
  • Diploma of at least 3 years duration recognized by the AICTE or any State Board of Technical Education.
  • GCE Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the University of Cambridge or the International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office in Geneva.
  • Candidates who have passed the Class 12th (or equivalent) examination from outside India or from a board not specified above must submit a certificate from the AIU Association stating that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12th examination.
  • If the Class 12th examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have previously passed at least one public (board or pre-university) examination.
  • Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE), Sikkim.
JEE Mains Registration 2026 Process
Register for the online application and note down the system-generated application number. Candidates will be required to provide the required details when filling out the online application form. They will also be required to create a password, choose a security question, and enter their answer. After successfully submitting personal details, an application number will be generated and will be used to complete the remaining steps of the application process and will also be required for all future references/correspondence. The generated application number will be used/referenced for both sessions of JEE (Main)-2026. For subsequent logins, candidates will be able to login directly with the respective system-generated application number and their own password.
JEE Main 2026 List of Required Documents

Upload scanned images of the candidate’s photograph, signature, and Class 10 or equivalent certificate/marksheet and Person with Disability (PwD) certificate (where applicable).

A recent passport-sized photograph should be in color, showing 80% of the face (without a mask) including ears, on a white background. The image should be titled ‘Photograph’ and should be between 10 KB and 200 KB in JPG/JPEG format (clearly readable).
The signature file should be titled ‘Signature’ and should be between 10 KB and 100 KB in JPG/JPEG format (clearly readable).
The scanned copy of the Class 10 or equivalent certificate/marksheet should be titled ‘Class 10 Certificate’ and should be between 50 KB and 300 KB in PDF (clearly readable).
Scanned copy of PwD/Divyangjan Disability Certificate should be named as ‘Disability Certificate’ and should be PDF of size between 50 KB to 300 KB (clearly readable).
