BPSC Special School Teacher Vacancy 2026 : Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications (Essential Eligibility):

Candidates must be citizens of India.

And the eligibility for Special School Teachers will be as per the norms of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

Candidates are required to attach a valid CRR (Central Rehabilitation Register) number issued by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and the relevant certificate at the time of application.

And must have passed the Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test, 2023, as follows:
BSSTET Paper-I for Classes 1 to 5
BSSTET Paper-II for Classes 6 to 8
The eligibility for Special School Teachers will be as per Departmental Notification No. 916, dated 19.05.2023, which is currently as follows:

(A) Primary Category (Classes 1-5):

Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks, and
A valid CRR number from the Rehabilitation Council of India, along with a D.El.Ed. in Special Education from an institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India.

Or a valid CRR number from the Rehabilitation Council of India, along with a Certificate/Diploma in Special Education from an institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India, which is equivalent to a D.El.Ed. in Special Education.

Six months of teaching training in the field of inter-disability.
(B) Graduate Category (Classes 6-8):

A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. And
A valid CRR number from the Rehabilitation Council of India, along with a B.Ed. in Special Education from an institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India.

Or a valid CRR number from the Rehabilitation Council of India, along with a Certificate/Diploma from an institution recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India, which is equivalent to a B.Ed. in Special Education.

Six months of teaching training in the field of inter-disability.
