LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship : The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), through its LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation, offers a golden opportunity every year to meritorious and economically weaker students of the country. This initiative is called the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme. The main objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to promising students from underprivileged and low-income families of the society, so that they can complete their higher education without any financial constraints. The application process under this scheme for the academic year 2026 has started, the last date for which has been fixed as 30 September 2026. Under this, eligible students are given assistance of up to ₹50,000 per year.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2026 Eligibility Criteria
General Scholarship [After Class 12th/Diploma]
- All candidates who have passed Class XII exam (or its equivalent) with
at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in the Academic Year
2023-24/2024-25/2025-26, and - Have taken admission in the academic year 2026-27 for pursuing first
year degree course in the field of Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS),
Engineering (BE, BTECH, BArch), Graduation in any discipline,
Integrated Courses, Diploma Course in any field or other
equivalent courses, Vocational Courses through Government
recognized Colleges /Institutes or courses in Industrial Training
Institutes (ITIs), and - Have parents/guardian with an annual income (from all sources) not
exceeding Rs.4,50,000/- per annum.
Special Scholarship [ After Class 10th ]
- All Candidates who have passed Class X exam (or its equivalent) with at
least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in the Academic Year
2023-24/2024-25/2025-26, and - Have taken admission in the academic year 2026-27 for pursuing higher
studies in the first year of Intermediate/10 + 2 pattern/ Vocational or
Diploma Courses through Government recognized colleges/ institutions or
courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI), and
Golden Jub ilee Foundation - Have parents/guardian with an annual income (from all sources) not
exceeding Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum.
LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2026 Scholarship Amount
The amount received under LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship depends on the student’s chosen course and academic level. It is broadly divided into the following categories:
- Medical Courses: Students pursuing medical studies (MBBS/BDS, etc.) receive the highest assistance of ₹50,000 per year.
Engineering Courses: Students pursuing a B.Tech or engineering degree receive ₹40,000 per year. - Graduation/Diploma/ITI: Students pursuing general graduation (BA, B.Sc, B.Com), professional courses, or diploma/ITI receive ₹20,000 per year.
- Special Scholarship for Girl Child: Girl students pursuing further studies (11th and 12th grade) after 10th grade are specifically awarded ₹15,000 per year.

LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Selection Process
- डिवीजनल स्तर पर शार्टलिस्टिंग: “Applications received will be processed in two phases by the relevant Divisional Offices, namely PRELIMINARY AND FINAL.” जब आप ऑनलाइन फॉर्म भरेंगे, तो आपके पिन कोड (PIN Code) के आधार पर आपका आवेदन LIC के नजदीकी डिवीजनल ऑफिस में ट्रांसफर हो जाएगा।
- सीटों का कोटा: “Each Divisional Office will select 80 candidates under General Scholarship and 40 candidates under Special Scholarship.” LIC का हर एक डिवीजन अपने क्षेत्र से कुल 120 विद्यार्थियों का चयन करता है।
- मेरिट के आधार पर रैंकिंग: “Selection of candidates for the LIC Scholarship 2026 will be based on merit. The selection process will be conducted based on the descending order of marks obtained.”
