CTET February 2026 Form : Apply Online

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the online application process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test – CTET February 2026. The 21st CTET exam will be held on February 8, 2026, at the allotted exam centers in all cities across the country. All eligible and interested candidates can apply online for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test – CTET February 2026 on the official website ctet.nic.in from November 27, 2025, and the last date for application is December 18, 2025.

CTET February 2026 : Education Qualification For Paper -1 (1 to 5)
Qualification Id Education Qualification
1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
5. “Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” “(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two year of such appointment as primary teacher”.
6. Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
CTET February 2026 : Education Qualification For Paper -2 (6 to 8)
Qualification Id Education Qualification
1. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
2. At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in PostGraduation and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
5. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.
7. Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/ CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/ CTET.

CTET February 2026 : Exam Process
Applicants will be selected through a CBT (Computer Based Test – Online), which will be held on February 8, 2026, at the allotted exam center as per the Central Board of Secondary Education (CTET) February 2026 departmental rules. All questions in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs). You can find details of the exam pattern and syllabus in this article.
CTET February 2026 : Syllabus And Exam Pattern

All questions in the CTET will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with four options, one of which will be correct. Each correct answer will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The CTET will have two papers.

Paper I – For those who wish to become teachers for classes 1 to 5.

Paper II – For those who wish to become teachers for classes 6 to 8.

Note: Those who wish to become teachers at both levels (classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8) will have to appear for both papers (Paper I and Paper II).
